Schnauzer Grooming

A schnauzer out of pattern looks like a different dog. Our groomers know the schnauzer cut — the furnishings, the skirt, the signature eyebrows and beard — and we hand-finish every one.

The Classic Schnauzer Pattern

The schnauzer is a furnishings breed: short on the body and back, longer on the legs, belly, and beard. We clip the body tight, scissor the legs into a tidy column, and shape the eyebrows and beard that give the schnauzer its unmistakable expression. Done right, it is sharp and clean.

Care for the Beard and Furnishings

Schnauzer beards catch food and water, so we keep them clean and trimmed. We will also show you how to brush the leg furnishings at home so they stay neat between grooms. Regular grooming every 6 to 8 weeks keeps the pattern looking right.
